Power Networking (optional 5:45-6:15pm)
By popular request! Every month, we include a period of time for you to meet a number of other like-minded people in a structured, fast-paced format. Bring your elevator speech and business cards! Not in the mood? Spectators welcome as well.

Presentation/Discussion (6:45-7:45pm)
Is "local" the new "organic"? An increasing emphasis lately has been placed on the supposed superiority of locally grown food, to a point where some would argue it is supplanting the movement toward more organic goods. The names of specific farms are being included in more restaurant menus and retail placards as emphasis on "know your farmer" grows. Is the "eat local" movement leading to better food on your plate, or just complicating and perhaps setting back the evolution toward healthier diets and farming practices? This month, we dive into the hype in search of the truth behind this raging movement with three leading experts chiming in.
